The Institute of Peace and Understanding invites trainers to collaborate within the “Peaceful School” project on implementing School Services of Understanding!
Peaceful School is an integrated and comprehensive model for building relationships and communication within an educational institution, aimed at creating a safe, peaceful environment in the school community through prevention of violence and bullying and reducing levels of conflict.
As part of the new phase of the project, IMiP is selecting 20 schools where the Model will be implemented..
This process includes:
- training leadership teams from general secondary education institutions (blended format);
- training mediators for the School Services of Understanding (blended format);
- conducting training courses and professional development meetings;
- supporting implementation of the Model by project mentors.
Responsibilities of the trainer implementing the School Services of Understanding:
- conducting online Zoom sessions on basic mediator skills for the School Services of Understanding for senior students (using the provided program)
- preparing materials for publication on the online platform (including video materials, illustrations, tests; preparation entails writing the technical brief for the contractor and making edits)
- conducting open webinars, creating and delivering online courses on topics relevant to adolescents (individually or paired with other trainers)
- preparing reports on completed work according to the template
We are looking for a person who:
- Has experience implementing ШСП in schools across Ukraine.
- Ready to carry out methodological work (describing exercises or lessons, preparing technical specifications for the design of visual materials for exercises).
- Ready to take part in filming videos for the Mirna Shkola online platform (includes writing a basic script, recording spoken text for audio or video, and making edits to visual design as needed).
- Loves working with teenagers and is ready to create online courses, run webinars, and use other interactive tools when working with teens (by separate agreement).
