At the Kyiv Cooperative Institute of Business and Law the concept of interaction between the patrol police, communities and local authorities (Community policing) was presented.

The presentation took place within the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Trends in the Development of National Economies: economic and legal dimensions", which, among other things, was dedicated to sustainable development in the context of European integration and the modern legal system.
Projects Coordinator of the Center for Human Rights Information Lyudmyla Yankina She told conference participants that a close, proactive three-way relationship — police, community and local authorities — is important for sustainable development, achieving joint change and improving safety in communities. She added that good partnership and trust at all levels of this tripartite interaction are key success factors.

Head of the Public Relations Department of the Patrol Police Department, Kateryna Beluhina in turn emphasized:
"We exist to meet people's needs for safety. The police in their work must take into account the needs of the community of which we ourselves are a part."
She also spoke about working with youth and various interaction programs aimed at preventing offenses involving children.
