Last week IMIP held a four-day training, "Facilitating Participatory Processes," for participants of the "Her Perspective" project, who will become facilitators of teams formed in their communities.
Participants in the training included 10 female representatives of youth centers from five communitiesFastiv, Novovolynsk, Cherkasy, Vasylkiv and Zdolbuniv.
Trainers at the event were
Yelyzaveta Koval – trainer of the "Peace School" project, school mediator, facilitator, member of the NGO "Institute of Peace and Understanding";
Darya Bielinska – facilitator, program manager at the NGO "Institute of Peace and Understanding".
During the event, participants:
- familiarized themselves with conflict behavior styles and communication skills for facilitators;
- learned how to work with biases;
- learned an algorithm for resolving conflicts;
- immersed themselves in the video creation process;
- practiced filming their first videos highlighting the issues faced by young internally displaced women in Ukraine during the war.
