Social cohesion the ability of community residents to come together to ensure shared well‑being and safeguard the equal rights of all community members.

Strengthening social cohesion between host communities and IDPs enables communication and brings all parties into discussions about community recovery and development. The IMiP team, drawing on its many years of experience, through project implementation supports and reinforces social cohesion and helps minimize the risk of misunderstandings and conflicts in the community.

The project “Preserving Inclusion and Social Cohesion in Ukraine: Adaptation and Recovery in Response to the War” is implemented by the NGO “Institute of Peace and Understanding Together” together with the Initiative for Peaceful Change, with support from the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland.
